Higher Ground Christian School is located in the residential area of Veinerville, just outside the city limits of Medicine Hat. The school is in a quiet setting overlooking the city. There are two classrooms with grades K-3 in one, grades 4-9 in the second classroom. Our staff consists of two teachers and an educational assistant. Besides being a multi-grade school, it is multiracial and multicultural. The school curriculum meets the standards of the province of Alberta. Tuition is free due to the generous support of church members. Basic Christian principles including those common to all denominations are taught and character building is promoted. The school mission is for students to attain academic excellence while gaining a personal friendship with Jesus Christ. At HGCS we reach across age groups, working together to find success in academics while learning to walk in favor with God and man.
