The Montessori School of Calgary offers Montessori education for three- to twelve-year-olds following the programme developed by Dr. Maria Montessori and the criteria established by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). The school is one of four Montessori schools in Canada to be Recognized by the AMI for offering the highest quality Montessori education. Five- to twelve-year-olds also complete the Alberta Education curriculum and, through independent research, they learn the required material plus much more. Children develop, among other qualities, independence, responsibility, concentration, self-esteem, initiative, and good work habits. They become leaders and contributors to society.
