New Heights School and Learning Services

About

New Heights School & Learning Services offers school and home-based programs for children who are on the Autism Spectrum or have other similar challenges. At New Heights, we seek to engage the strengths of our students to help each unique individual become a confident, competent, productive, and responsible citizen and lifelong learner.

New Heights School is fully accredited and approved as a Designated Special Education Private School. Our Kindergarten to Grade 12+ programs follow Alberta Education curriculum that may be adapted or modified to address the individual needs of the student. Students are further supported through an Individualized Program Plan (IPP). We utilize the strengths and interests of students to develop skills and strategies for coping and learning at home, school, and in the community. We place a strong emphasis on academic independence, social communication, and self-regulation to develop skills and tools for a lifetime of success. New Heights provides our teenage students the opportunity for employment experience and on-site job coaching, and offers Transition to Adulthood support for our graduates or those who transition out of our school program.

New Heights Home and Community Program is funded primarily by Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) and provides specialized services to preschool-aged children on the Autism Spectrum.
